Beyond our Q-Step community, the following individuals regularly post on quants/stats topics:
  • Professor Andy Field has an extensive catalogue of statistics tutorials on his blog. He also manages a YouTube site featuring his how-to videos and lectures
  • Jess Hartnett's Twitter and blog are similar to Quants Corner. She explores a wide range of stats analyses and compiles a rich list of resources
  • Professor Jackie Carter from the University of Manchester Q-Step Centre regularly tweets on quants and stats topics
  • Professor Alan Dix explains the maths behind the data we encounter in our everyday lives
  • Dr Graham Gibbs has created a series of Youtube videos on social research methods and design
  • Professor Hans Rosling was one of the co-founders of Gapminder and an inexhaustible advocate for data literacy
  • Wolfgang Viechtbauer's Twitter and website focus on more advanced statistical analyses. He occasionally runs free introductory R workshops
  • Anthony Masters is the Statistical Ambassador for the Royal Statistical Society. His blog and Twitter cover the use of statistics in British political debates
  • Tim Harford (of BBC's More or Less podcast) has a wealth of articles and resources on his blog
  • Sir David Spiegelhalter's website features a vast number of articles and videos. He regularly tweets about statistics and risk
Certain organisations blog on quantitative methods and on projects that use quantitative data:
  • Full Fact provide regular updates on disinformation and the work they do to counter misleading or erroneous information in the public and political spheres
  • The Feminist Approaches to Quantitative Science blog covers issues of gender and gender equity in the social sciences
  • WomenInStat Twitter is hosted by awesome women in statistics and data science. The host changes each week and you can even volunteer to curate a week of posts
  • Statistics Globe features more advanced statistics, including a breakdown of statistical methods and how to conduct analyses in Python and R
  • 66DaysOfData (Literacy) cover the foundations of data literacy in their 66 day challenge 
  • Data Literacy Project tweet about topics in data education and working with data
